The Norwegian telecommunications group Telenor ASA issued on Wednesday (16 February) its preliminary results for 2004, posting an operating profit of NOK6,602m, as compared to NOK7,560m in 2003.
Revenues amounted to NOK61,302m, up from NOK53,121m in 2003.
"We have seen a record-high customer growth in several markets, which provides us with a good vantage point for future profit development," commented Jon Fredrik Baksaas, president and CEO of Telenor.
One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
