Finnish telecomms service provider Tecnomen Corporation said on Tuesday (28 June) that it would deliver a PMR (Professional Mobile Radio) Messaging system, intended for public authorities use, to the Finnish government-owned State Security Networks Ltd.
The delivery includes Voice Mail and Short Data Service Centre (SDSC) services and Wireless Internet Router (WIR), according to the company.
The Professional Mobile Radio network VIRVE, operated by State Security Networks, is the world's first and largest nationwide authority network based on TETRA technology, the company said.
With the new system State Security Networks can offer diverse services for use by the police, fire services, rescue services and social workers, Tecnomen said.
