KDDI selects Opera Internet browser for new 3G handsets

Norwegian Internet browsers developer Opera Software ASA said on Thursday (26 May) that the Japanese mobile operator KDDI had chosen the Opera browser as standard on three new advanced 3G handsets.
The new handsets, Casio W21CAII, Casio W31CA and Toshiba W31T, will have full Internet and e-mail capabilities and a wide range of advanced features.
Opera Software will receive licence fees per unit sold.
Opera Software recently also announced that Nokia had chosen the Opera browser for the new Linux-based Nokia 770 Internet Tablet.
