Danish telecomms group TDC A/S said on Tuesday (31 May) that it was acquiring Ascom's business communication division, a Swiss provider of LAN services and infrastructure to companies, for a price of DKK161m.
Ascom's business communication division would be acquired through a net asset deal, the company said.
The acquisition would strengthen TDC's position in the rapidly expanding market for IP communications solutions as well as complementing and supporting TDC Switzerland's service towards Swiss corporate customers with a need for IP/LAN solutions, TDC said.
One Danish krone (DKK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
