ABB wins electronics and power supply systems contracts from Hydro Aluminum in Norway

The Swiss-Swedish power and automation technology group ABB said on Tuesday (31 May) that it had received a USD24m contract for power electronics and power supply systems from Hydro Aluminum in Norway.
The contract covers two rectifier groups, automation and control systems for Hydro Aluminum's smelting plant in Ardal, and a substation expansion, two transformer/rectifier groups and automation systems for a smelting plant in Sunndal.
ABB also won a service and maintenance agreement at the Sunndal facility.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.54 British pounds (GBP).
