Norwegian telecomms group Telenor ASA reported on Thursday (27 October) an operating profit of NOK8.76bn on revenues of NOK49.5bn for the financial period January-September 2005.
Both operating profit and revenues for the nine-month period increased, respectively from NOK8.42bn and NOK45.1bn, as compared to the corresponding period in 2004.
Operating profit in the quarter July-September 2005 amounted to NOK3.47bn on revenues of NOK17.6bn.
The number of mobile subscriptions in Telenor's consolidated operations increased by 3.1 million in the third quarter, reaching a total of 27.9 million.
The total number of mobile subscriptions in companies in which Telenor has ownership interests increased by 7.4 million in the third quarter, reaching 74.5 million.
One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
