The Norwegian dairy group TINE BA confirmed on Monday (19 September) that the Norwegian competition authority Konkurransetilsynet was considering fining the company NOK45m for allegedly abusing its dominant position on the market.
The competition authority's claims allege that TINE tried to use its position to achieve exclusive cheese supply agreements with the retail chains REMA 1000 and ICA.
TINE has denied the allegations.
One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.08 British pounds (GBP).
