The Swedish retail trading group Axel Johnson AB, an independent part of the family-owned Axel Johnson Group, issued on Monday (14 August) its figures for the first half of the year, posting an operating result of SEK201m, as compared to SEK113m in the first half of 2005.
The net turnover amounted to SEK8,226m, up from SEK5,452m in the first half of last year.
The growth was boosted by new acquisitions.
Axel Johnson includes the wholly-owned businesses Axel Johnson International, Servera and Ahlens, as well as the partly-owned Axfood.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
