The Swedish health care equipment supplier Getinge AB said on Tuesday (22 August) that its business area Medical Systems has agreed to acquire a 60% ownership interest in German telemedicine and hospital IT infrastructure provider OTY GmbH.
The purchase price for the shares is approximately SEK44m and Getinge has the option to acquire the outstanding shares later.
OTY has 14 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK20m. The company will be integrated into Getinge Group from 1 September and is expected to make a modest contribution to the earnings already this year.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
