Finnish ship power supplier and decentralised power generation systems provider Wartsila Corporation said on Friday (25 August) that it had been awarded a contract from MPF Corp Ltd to deliver a total power system for a Multi-Purpose Floater (MPF).
The MPF is planned to be completed and delivered from Dragados Offshore SA in Spain in the fourth quarter of 2008.
The contract involves detail design, products, systems and commissioning of the power plant, propulsion, electrical and automation systems.
The value of the deal is over EUR50m.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.68 British pounds (GBP).
