Icelandic food processing machinery maker Marel hf reported on Tuesday (8 August) an operating profit of EUR4.8m on sales of EUR79.1m for the financial period January-June 2006.
Operating profit for the six-month period decreased from EUR6.3m while sales increased from EUR63.8m, as compared to the corresponding period in 2005.
Operating profit for the quarter April-June 2006 amounted to EUR4.3m on sales of EUR46.6m.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.68 British pounds (GBP).
