Ericsson to supply HSPA upgrade in Austria

Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson (Nasdaq: ERIC) said on Wednesday (13 December) that it has been selected by Austrian operator ONE as the sole supplier to expand and upgrade their WCDMA radio network with HSPA.
Under the contract, Ericsson will deliver WCDMA radio access components and HSPA functionality to enhance ONE's mobile broadband capabilities.
The contract period runs for three years and rollout will start immediately.
Ericsson will also provide turnkey network deployment and integration as well as related support services.
No financial information was provided.
Ericsson is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. Its equipment is used in more than 1,000 networks in 140 countries, and 40% of the world's mobile calls are made through Ericsson systems. The company is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm, and its shares are also traded on the London Stock Exchange and on Nasdaq.
