Norwegian telecomms group Telenor ASA reported on Thursday (16 February) an operating profit of NOK11.7bn on revenues of NOK68.9bn for the financial year 2005.
Both operating profit and revenues for the 12-month period increased, respectively from NOK7.4bn and NOK60.6bn, as compared to the financial year 2004.
Operating profit in the quarter October-December 2005 amounted to NOK2.9bn on revenues of NOK19.5bn.
Earnings per share (EPS) in 2005 increased to NOK4.06 from NOK3.49 in 2004. The company's board of directors would propose a dividend of NOK2.00 per share for 2005.
One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
