Swedish security services group Securitas AB reported on Thursday (9 February) an operating profit of SEK4.3bn on sales of SEK66.0bn for the financial year January-December 2005.

Both operating profit and sales for the 12-month period increased, respectively from SEK4.0bn and SEK59.7bn, as compared to the financial year 2004.

Operating profit for the quarter October-December 2005 amounted to SEK1.2bn on sales of SEK17.7bn.

Earnings per share (EPS) after taxes in 2005 increased to SEK7.31 from SEK6.79 in 2004. The company's board of directors would propose a dividend of SEK3.50 per share for 2005.

One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
