The Danish hearing aids and headsets maker GN Store Nord A/S said on Thursday (19 January) that it had decided to close down its hearing aid activities in Cork, Ireland.
The production will be transferred to a plant in Xiamen in China, while the global distribution centre will be transferred to GN Store Nord's new head office in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The reorganisation is expected to cost some DKK55m, but to have a positive effect on the EBITA by some DKK40m per year.
One Danish krone (DKK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
