Nokia files suit against Chinese mobile phone manufacturers for design infringement

The Finnish mobile phones maker Nokia said on Wednesday (28 June) that it has filed a civil suit against Chinese manufacturers Shenzhen Telsda Mobile Communication Industry Developing Co Ltd and Song Xun Da Zhong Ke Electronic (Shenzhen) Co Ltd for allegedly copying the Nokia 7260 mobile phone model.

The suit also names distributors Beijing Tongwanbao Commerce & Trade Co Ltd An Wai Avenue No 2 Branch and Beijing Xin Tongwanbao Commerce & Trade Co Ltd as co-defendants in the case.

"This action is part of Nokia's continuous efforts to protect its brand value and proprietary designs against infringers. Nokia vigorously protects its intellectual property and is ready to take action when its rights are violated," Nokia said in a statement.
