Finnish technology group Teleste Corporation said on Tuesday (21 March) that it had signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the Dutch service provider Essent Kabelcom for the deployment of a next generation residential data access solution.
The solution is based on the new 100 Mb/s Ethernet to the Home technology (EttH).
The new technology allows cable subscribers to use their existing cable connection, without the use of any active modem device in the home, to access Internet data with a symmetrical speed of 100 Mb/s, the company said.
The agreement has been valued at over EUR1.0m.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.69 British pounds (GBP).
