The Swedish trading and services holding company Axel Johnson AB issued its year-end report on Wednesday (22 March), posting an operating profit of SEK738m, as compared to SEK682m in 2004.
The consolidated group turnover amounted to SEK13,820m, up by 52% from SEK9,115m in the previous year. The growth was mainly due to the acquisition of Axel Johnson International AB. Excluding Axel Johnson International the turnover improved by 7%.
Axel Johnson owns Ahlens, Servera and Novax and holds shares in a number of companies, including Axfood.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
