Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia introduced on Thursday (30 March) three new mobile phones targeted at first-time users in new growth markets.

All three models, Nokia 1112, Nokia 2310 and Nokia 2610, are expected to begin shipping during the second quarter of 2006.

The Nokia 2610 includes e-mail support as well as mobile Internet access via a WAP browser. It has a colour display and a mirrored finish and features such as MP3 ring tones, voice recorder and an integrated hands-free speaker.

The Nokia 2310 phone offers a compact design matched with a range of colour covers, a built-in FM radio and several messaging options.

The Nokia 1112 places special emphasis on ease-of-use and has a user interface that makes use of graphical icons and large font sizes to make user navigation simple for first-time mobile phone users.
