The Swedish defence and aerospace group Saab said on Thursday (28 September) that its business unit Saab Aerotech has received a SEK128m support and maintenance contract from Canadian aircraft support services company Field Aviation.
The contract covers the supply of a turnkey support solution for the Swedish coast guard's new Dash 8 aircraft, including integrated logistic support, maintenance and engineering services for the aircraft platform, engines and mission systems.
The Swedish coast guard will take delivery of the first of its new aircraft in early 2007.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
