Swedish-Finnish telecomms operator TeliaSonera AB reported on Tuesday (24 April) an operating profit of SEK6,061m on net sales of SEK22,724m for the financial period January-March 2007.
Both operating profit and net sales for the three-month period increased, respectively from SEK5,441m and SEK21,979m, as compared to the corresponding period in 2006.
Earnings per share (EPS) for the first quarter amounted to SEK0.89, up from SEK0.82.
TeliaSonera has 28,175 employees and reported net sales of SEK91.1bn in 2006. The company is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm and Helsinki.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.55 Swedish kronor (SEK).
