The Nordic stock exchange operator OMX AB announced on Wednesday (15 August) plans to outsource its external network operations and data center management.
After evaluating offers from a number of possible suppliers OMX has decided to enter into negotiations with Verizon. The company said that a dedicated supplier for network operations and data center management will strengthen OMX's ability to grow internationally with a full service offering.
Related Results
No binding commitments have been made by either party and OMX's outsourcing plans are subject to negotiation of a final agreement, the company added.
OMX operates the Nordic Exchange, which offers access to approximately 80% of the Nordic and Baltic securities markets.
