Sectra AB wins radiology image handling system contract from Dusseldorf University Hospital

Swedish high-tech group Sectra AB said on Monday (17 December) that its unit Sectra Imtec has received a five-year contract for its radiology image handling system PACS from the Dusseldorf University Hospital in Germany.

The Sectra PACS system will be integrated into the hospital's existing radiology and hospital information systems

The contract covers the delivery of PACS products, as well as service and support.

"This order, from one of the most renowned university hospitals in Germany, is a strategically important step as we now expand our direct sales and service efforts in Germany," said Torbjorn Kronander, president of Sectra Imtec.

The financial value of the contract was not disclosed.

Sectra, headquartered in Linkoping, Sweden, develops and sells medical systems and secure communication systems. The company has operations in eleven countries, and reported sales of SEK673m in the financial year 2006/2007. Sectra is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.18 Swedish kronor (SEK).
