Swedish window and door manufacturer Inwido Group acquires Danish window manufacturer KPK

Swedish investor Ratos AB said on Monday (3 December) that its subsidiary, the window and door manufacturer Inwido Group, has acquired the Danish window manufacturer KPK for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition was carried out through Inwido's Danish subsidiary Inwido Denmark.
KPK, manufactures primarily wood and wood/aluminium windows and doors for the Danish housing market. The company has 240 employees and reported sales of SEK379m in 2006.
"We have enjoyed fruitful co-operation with KPK for a number of years through our subsidiary Storke Vinduer. KPK has seen fantastic development in recent years and today's acquisition means that we are further strengthening our already strong position in Denmark," commented Sven-Gunnar Schough, CEO of Inwido Group.
Inwido is the Nordic region's leading window and door manufacturer with sales of SEK3.3bn in 2006. Following the acquisition of KPK the number of employees will amount to some 4,250.
Ratos, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, invests mainly in unlisted companies. The company's investments amount to some SEK11bn. Ratos is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.11 Swedish kronor (SEK).
