NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-4 December 2007-Finland's Metso Minerals to expand manufacturing capacity in China(C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com
Finnish engineering and technology group Metso Corporation said on Tuesday (4 December) that its subsidiary Metso Minerals will expand its manufacturing capacity at the Tianjin factory in China with a EUR5.0m investment.
Metso Minerals will build a new workshop and warehouse and upgrade the current factory building and production equipment in Tianjin.
The investment will double the capacity of the Tianjin factory, allowing it to take a global role in the manufacturing of small unit crushers, the company said.
The investment will also release capacity at Metso Minerals' other factories for manufacturing large and special crushers, enabling the company to better meet the increased worldwide demand for crushing and screening solutions.
Metso, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, has 25,000 employees in more than 50 countries and reported net sales of EUR4.96bn in 2006. Metso is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Helsinki.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.40 euros (EUR).
