Swedish store display solutions provider HL Display AB said on Tuesday (27 February) that it has decided to outsource the manufacture of its spring-loaded metal snap frame product Pictoria.
The manufacture of the Pictoria display frames will be outsourced to a European partner with production operations in Eastern Europe.
The outsourcing means that HL Display will discontinue the operations of its HL Display Pictoria unit in Falkenberg in Sweden. The closure of the plant will affect 14 employees.
The Pictoria frames represent some 3% of HL Display's total sales, and the outsourcing is expected to strengthen the company's competitiveness further within the business area.
