Norwegian seismic survey company TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA said on Friday (12 January) that it has signed a two-year charter agreement for the 2D seismic vessel BGP Atlas with BGP Inc.
TGS-NOPEC said that it plans to use the vessel in the North Sea during the summer season.
The agreement includes an option to extend the charter by two additional one-year periods.
The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
TGS-NOPEC, headquartered in Asker in Norway, provides geoscience data, software and service. In addition to Norway the company has offices in the UK, Australia and the US. TGS-NOPEC is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and traded under the ticker TGS.
