Swedish industrial holding company Investor AB reported on Thursday (18 January) an operating profit of SEK28.8bn for the financial year 2006.
Operating profit for the 12-month period decreased from SEK44.0bn, as compared to the previous year.
The net asset value amounted to SEK159.3bn on 31 December 2006, as against SEK133.9bn at the end of 2005.
The total return on Investor shares was 24% in 2006, of which 10% was in the fourth quarter.
Investor, based in Stockholm, Sweden, is the Nordic region's leading industrial holding company and a leading shareholder in a number of multinational companies, including Ericsson, SEB and Atlas Copco. The company also conducts private equity activities in the United States, Northern Europe and Asia. Investor is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.38 Swedish kronor (SEK).
