Norwegian high-tech electronics components maker VMETRO ASA said on Monday (8 January) that its US subsidiary VMETRO Inc has secured a USD0.8m contract from an unnamed key player in the US defence industry.
The contract covers the supply of products for real-time recording and playback of high-speed data streams, and includes integration work.
The products and services are to be delivered during the first quarter of 2007.
VMETRO, headquartered in Oslo in Norway, develops and manufactures products and services for embedded computer systems integrators. The company has operations in Norway, the US, the United Kingdom, Singapore, France, Germany and Italy. VMETRO is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and traded under the tickler VME.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.97 US dollars (USD).
