Norwegian Internet browsers developer Opera Software ASA said on Monday (8 January) that it has entered into a licensing agreement with the US telecomms solutions provider Motorola Inc (NYSE: MOT).
The agreement covers the Opera Software Development Kit (SDK) for Devices and a minimum volume of licences for consumer electronics/Connected Home Products.
Opera Software said that the deal further expands its relationship with Motorola beyond mobile handsets.
No financial information was provided.
Opera Software, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, develops Internet browsers for a number of platforms. The company has some 340 employees and annual revenues of NOK154m. Opera Software is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker OPERA.
Motorola is a Fortune 100 company which reported sales of USD35.3bn in 2005. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
