Sweden's Sectra AB signs distribution agreement with Polish medical imaging systems distributor Edo Med

Swedish high-tech company Sectra AB said on Monday (25 June) that it has signed a distribution agreement with the Polish company Edo Med Spzoo.

The agreement covers the distribution of Sectra's medical systems in Poland, beginning with the Sectra PACS system for processing and archiving digital radiology images.

"Edo Med has a well-established position in Poland and is an excellent partner for the distribution of our products," commented Torbjorn Kronander, president of Sectra Imtec AB.

"With this partnership, we take an important step forward into the new Europe's healthcare market," Kronander added.

Sectra, headquartered in Linkoping, Sweden, develops and sells medical systems and secure communication systems. The company has operations in 11 countries, and reported sales of SEK673m in the financial year 2006/2007. Sectra is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.73 Swedish kronor (SEK).
