ABB wins USD62m power plant process control system order from E.ON-Kraftwerke GmbH

Swiss-Swedish power and automation technology group ABB (NYSE: ABB) said on Tuesday (26 June) that it has won a USD62m process control system order from E.ON-Kraftwerke GmbH in Germany.
The order covers the complete process control system for a 1,100 MW hard-coal-fired power plant in the Rhein-Ruhr region. In addition to supplying all equipment, ABB will also provide all engineering, installation and commissioning services.
The order includes an option for process control equipment for three similar power plants in the future.
ABB, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, is a leading power and automation technology group with 109,000 employees in some 100 countries. ABB is listed on the SWX Swiss Exchange, the NYSE and the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.99 US dollars (USD).
