Norwegian telecomms group Telenor ASA (NASDAQ: TELN) said on Monday (4 June) that it is launching audio books for mobile phones to its customers in Norway.
Currently there are 210 titles available from several publishers, the company said.
The audio books are priced at around NOK9 to NOK15 per part, but from now until 1 July Telenor is offering free samples.
Telenor said that it has chosen Paragallo Mobile AS as its exclusive partner and service supplier.
Telenor is one of the world's largest mobile operators, with nearly 83m subscribers in 12 countries. The group is also the largest provider of television services in the Nordic region. Telenor has some 27,600 employees and annual revenues of nearly NOK70bn. Telenor is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker TEL and on Nasdaq under the ticker TELN.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.90 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
