Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) said on Thursday (7 June) that it is building an HSPA-enabled 3G network for the Argentinean operator Personal Telecom.

Under the agreement Ericsson will provide new 3G/HSPA core and radio networks, including the Mobile Softswitch.

Ericsson said that its HSPA technology solution will enable Personal to break through with a new generation of mobile broadband services, delivering true broadband speed. The Mobile Softswitch solution is expected to help Personal minimise its operating expenses through evolution towards an all-IP core network.

No financial information was provided.
