The Swedish high-tech company Micronic Laser Systems AB said on Monday (5 March) that it has received an order for its newest tool, the FPS5100 laser pattern generator for advanced electronic packaging applications.
The buyer is an unnamed customer based in Asia.
No other details were disclosed.
"It gives us great satisfaction that our new customer has decided on Micronic's FPS5100 as their tool of choice", said Sven Lofquist, president and CEO of Micronic.
"This demonstrates that the FPS5100 is well suited to meet the increasing quality demands for photomasks as well as productivity demands for advance electronic packaging," Lofquist added.
Micronic Laser Systems is a Swedish high-tech company engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of a series of extremely accurate laser pattern generators for the production of photomasks. Micronic is located in Taby, north of Stockholm, and also has subsidiaries in the United States, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
