Swedish components, systems and solutions marketing and distribution group Axel Johnson International, part of Axel Johnson AB, announced on Tuesday (15 May) that it has agreed to sell its telecomms products distribution company AxCom AB to the UK company 20:20 Mobile Group.
AxCom, headquartered in Kista outside Stockholm, is Sweden's largest telecomms distributor and one of the leading players in the Norwegian and Danish markets. The company has a network of 4,000 retailers and achieved in 2006 a turnover of SEK3bn.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Axel Johnson, headquartered in Stockholm, includes Axel Johnson International, Servera, Svensk BevakningsTjanst and Ahlens, as well as the partly-owned listed companies Axfood and Mekonomen. The companies is Axel Johnson have a total of some 17,000 employees and an annual turnover of approximately SEK50bn.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.40 Swedish kronor (SEK).
