Swedish industrial investor AB Geveko announced on Thursday (1 November) that it has acquired the Slovakian road marking company Osfer sro for an undisclosed sum.

Osfer, based in Kosice i East Slovakia, has an annual turnover of approximately SEK15m.

Geveko said that it plans to integrate the acquired operations with its subsidiary Cleanosol AB, which already operates in Poland and the Czech Republic.

"The acquisition of Osfer lies within the Geveko strategy to strengthen the positions on the fast growing East European road marking market," commented Hans Ljungkvist CEO of Geveko.

Geveko, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, focuses on investments in industrial operations. The company's portfolio, valued at SEK389m, includes holdings in Hennes & Mauritz, China East Asia Fund, AstraZeneca, Getinge and Cardo. Geveko is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.19 Swedish kronor (SEK).
