Swedish investment company AB Geveko said on Thursday (8 November) that it has agreed to acquire the Polish road marking company Dartom for an undisclosed sum.
Dartom, based in Bialystok in eastern Poland, reported a turnover of SEK15m in 2006.
The acquired operations will be integrated with Geveko's subsidiary Cleanosol AB, which earlier this year strengthened its road marking operations in Poland through the acquisition of Technom and GIK.

Following the new acquisition Cleanosol will be Poland's second largest contract road marking company with a 25% market share and an annual turnover of an estimated SEK60m.
"The acquisition of Dartom is the fourth during 2007 in Poland and Slovakia," commented Hans Ljungkvist, CEO of Geveko.
"Together with other Geveko companies in the East European countries we will benefit from economies of scale and form a competitive road marking concept as well as strengthen our leading market positions in the fast growing markets in East Europe," Ljungkvist said.
Geveko, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, is an investment company focused on industrial operations and management of securities. The company is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.33 Swedish kronor (SEK).
