Norwegian telecomms group Telenor ASA reported on Thursday (25 October) an operating profit of NOK4,034m on revenues of NOK23,135m for the financial period July-September 2007.
Both operating profit and revenues for the three-month period decreased, respectively from NOK5,469m and NOK23,255m, as compared to the corresponding period in 2006.
Earnings per share (EPS) in the third quarter amounted to NOK2.65, down from EUR3.02 year ago.
Operating profit for the financial period January-September 2007 amounted to NOK11,636m on revenues of NOK68,736m.
Telenor is a mobile operator, with nearly 83m subscribers in 12 countries, and a provider of television services in the Nordic region. Telenor has some 27,600 employees and annual revenues of nearly NOK70bn. Telenor is listed on Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker 'TEL' and on Nasdaq under the ticker 'TELN'.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.01 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
