Finnish engineering and technology group Metso Corporation said on Wednesday (3 October) that its subsidiary, Metso Automation, has received a long-term supply contract from the Brazilian oil company Petrobras.
The contract, valued at over EUR12m over five years, covers the delivery of process automation systems and solutions as well as related services to Petrobras' automation modernisation project at its REVAP refinery at Sao Jose dos Campos in Sao Paulo. Petrobras is modernising the refinery in order to meet new environmental specifications.
Metso, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, is a global engineering and technology group with over 26,000 employees in more than 50 countries. The company reported net sales of approximately EUR5bn in 2006. Metso is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Helsinki.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.43 euros (EUR).
