Nokia collaborates with Telefonica on mobile Internet

Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia (NYSE: NOK) announced on Tuesday (9 October) that it is working with the international telecomms company Telefonica to accelerate the adoption of new Internet services on mobile devices.
Under the collaboration Nokia will be providing Telefonica customers with easy access to both Telefonica and Nokia Internet services.
The collaboration includes areas such as menu customisation, technology and billing co-operation, Nokia added.
As part of the collaboration, Nokia will customise the new Multimedia Menu to provide easy access to Telefonica services. Similarly, Telefonica customers will be able to access all Nokia services through the Multimedia Menu.
Nokia, headquartered in Espoo in Finland, is a global mobile phone and network equipment manufacturer. It has nearly 59,000 employees worldwide. Nokia is listed on the Helsinki, Stockholm, Frankfurt and New York stock exchanges.
