Swedish investment company Investment AB Latour said on Monday (10 September) that it has agreed to acquire the Swedish tool manufacturer BBM Verktyg AB in a SEK12.5m deal.

BBM Verktyg, based in Laholm, manufactures and sells cutting tools for the wood industry. The company has 20 employees and an annual turnover of SEK30m.

Investment AB Latour, headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, invests in industrial and trading operations. The company owns substantial holdings in Assa Abloy, Elanders, Fagerhult, Munters, Securitas, Securitas Direct, Securitas Systems, SWECO and OEM International. Investment AB Latour is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.79 Swedish kronor (SEK).
