Norwegian geophysical company TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA said on Thursday (6 September) that its division TGS Geological Products and Services has secured a major well log data contract from a US-based independent natural gas producer.
The contract covers the delivery of 400,000 log ASCII standard (LAS) and 3.6m smartRASTER well logs over the next three and a half years.
The value of the contract was not disclosed, but TGS-NOPEC said that it was the largest contract to date for TGS Geological Products and Services.
TGS-NOPEC, headquartered in Asker, Norway, provides geoscientific data products and services to the oil and gas industry. the company is in the process of merging with Wavefield Inseis ASA to create TGS Wavefield. TGS-NOPEC is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and traded under the ticker TGS.
