Swedish high-tech company Sectra AB said on Wednesday (2 April) that it has signed a distribution agreement for its medical systems with the Japanese company Medical Expert.
Under the agreement Medical Expert will initially distribute Sectra's radiology images handling system Sectra PACS and Sectra's orthopaedic pre-operative planning tool, but the agreement can be expanded to cover other products.
Sectra said that it will also open a local branch office in Japan in order to support its local partners and customers.
Sectra, headquartered in Linkoping, Sweden, develops and sells advanced medical and secure communication systems. The company has 455 employees in 11 countries and reported sales of SEK673m in the financial year 2006/2007. Sectra is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.85 Swedish kronor (SEK).
