Swedish department store chain Clas Ohlson AB (OMX Stockholm:CLAS B) said on Tuesday (29 April) that it has signed the contracts for opening two new stores in Finland.

The new stores will be opened in Joensuu and Espoo in the autumn.

Clas Ohlson has 85 stores in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and also plans to expand to the UK during 2008/2009.

Clas Ohlson, headquartered in Insjon, Sweden, operates department stores, and has mail order and e-trading activities. The company has 2,600 employees and an annual turnover of over SEK4bn.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.82 Swedish kronor (SEK).
