Swedish energy and environmental technology company Opcon AB (OMX Stockholm: OPCO) said on Thursday (3 April) that its subsidiary Svensk Rokgasenergi (SRE) has secured its first Belgian order for environmental technology.
The order, valued at SEK2-3m, covers a system for cleaning flue gases from dioxins and particles, and will be installed in cooperation with SRE's partner Vyncke in a Belgian greenhouse.
Greenhouses represent a new technology segment for SRE, which installed its first system in a Dutch greenhouse at the end of 2007. Since then the company has also won one order in Sweden and one in Canada.
Opcon, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, develops, produces and markets systems and products for eco-friendly, efficient and resource-effective use of energy. The company has some 365 employees in Sweden and China, and reported sales of SEK336m in 2007.
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.85 Swedish kronor (SEK).
