Danish headphone technology developer Nextlink A/S (OMX First North:NXTL) said on Tuesday (29 April) that it has launched a cost reduction programme with the aim of cutting costs by SEK6m per year.

The cost reduction programme follows a previously announced cooperation agreement with Motorola (NYSE:MOT) within consumer products. Under the cooperation agreement Motorola will take over Nextlink's logistics, administrative and sales functions.

The cost reduction programme will affect eight employees.

Nextlink, headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, develops and markets headphones and headsets for mobile phones and two-way radios. The company has 40 employees and reported a turnover of SEK22.8m in 2007.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.82 Swedish kronor (SEK).
