Swedish mine clearing technology and services provider Countermine Technologies AB said on Friday (4 April) that its subsidiary Countermine Operations AB has secured a general survey contract from an international oil company operating in Libya.
The contract covers a survey of the oil company's concession, which has several known minefields as well as suspected minefields. In addition to the survey, Countermine Operations will also perform mine clearing and destroy unexploded ordnance.
The financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
Countermine Technologies, headquartered in Sodertalje, Sweden, develops mine clearing equipment and carries out mine clearing operations. The company reported a net turnover of SEK29m in 2007.
