Norwegian seismic company Global Geo-Services ASA (OSE:GGS) said on Friday (4 April) that it has received a four-year contract for its tender rig Alligator from the Malaysian oil company Petronas Carigali.

The contract covers work offshore Malaysia, is valued at approximately USD200m and has the potential to be extended by one year.

The Alligator is currently operating for Chevron offshore Angola, but will be transferred to Malaysia early next year.

Global Geo-Services, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, provides seismic data processing, multi-client surveys and offshore acquisition. The company reported revenue of NOK149m in 2007.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 2.00 US dollars (USD). One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 10.15 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
