Swedish defence and aerospace group Saab AB (OMX Stockholm:SAAB B) said on Monday (7 April) that its Danish subsidiary Saab Denmark A/S has begun employee negotiations regarding staff cuts.

Saab said that its Danish unit will cut some 60 jobs following the Danish defence logistics organisation FMT's decision in February to terminate a contract for Saab's DACCIS command and control system.

The planned staff cuts will mainly affect Saab employees in Copenhagen.

Saab, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is a global high-tech group providing products, services and solutions from military defence to civil security. The group has 13,700 employees worldwide and annual sales of SEK23bn.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.92 Swedish kronor (SEK).
